Insightful Review

I was delighted to read Rudrangshu Mukherjee's review of An Infinite History - The Story of a Family in France Over Three Centuries by Emma Rothschild. The saga of an ordinary family in distant France is important for people to read—in India or indeed anywhere in the world. The relation between big events of history and the ordinary ones of a family is shown well by the reviewer who also explains lucidly, the author’s novel approach to writing history. Rudrangshu Mukherjee not only makes the reader want to read the book but establishes that the art of effective book reviewing is still alive.
