Limits of Regional Cooperation

The article by Partha Chatterjee gives a convincing analysis of the results of the Lok Sabha electionsof 2019. The method suggested to counter the trend of authoritarianism is less convincing. Federalism founders on inter-state livelihood issues, for example, sharing water. Having regional parties in office in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala,did not help to solve water disputes.
